Narrow Blanket Podeagi Instructions
When purchasing a Zidee podeagi, you will receive a full colour instruction booklet.
Front Carry
Start from a comfortable seated position. Holding your baby against your shoulder or chest.
Place the podeagi across your baby's back, high up for those needing head support.
At this point small baby's usually (but not always) prefer to have their knees drawn up inside the
carrier in a "froggy" position. Your baby's preference will be determined by experiment.

Supporting baby with one hand, use the other hand to place the shoulder strap over your shoulder,
then switching hands do the same for the other shoulder.
While supporting your baby with your right hand, reach around your back with your left hand for the right
shoulder strap. Pull it across your back firmly and bring to your front.Repeat for the other shoulder
strap, using your left hand to support the baby and right hand to pull the strap.

With both straps now at your front, cross them over each other across your baby's lower back/bottom,
Pulling firmly as you do.

Pull these straps back around to your back, for a larger baby whose legs are around your waist, these straps
go under his legs. For a smaller baby whose legs you have "froggied" inside the carrier, the straps simply
go back around, keeping the crossed part of the straps high on baby's back, pulled firmly to support baby
and stop him slumping into a chin to chest position.

Tie securely at your back in a double or square knot.
Baby should now be safely, securely and comfortably in the carrier.
You may need to arrange the blanket a little at this point.Check your position in a large mirror.

Back Carry
Place the podeagi around your child's upper back and under their arms. This can be done standing,
sitting, or lying depending on the child's age. If sitting ot lying, then do so on the blanket.
Hold straps securely in on hand close to your child''s chest. Here my left hand is also supporting my
child under his right arm ready to toss him up on my back

Carefully lift the child up and over your shoulder and onto your back.
For your first try ALWAYS have someone to spot you and be ready to help.
Position the straps over each shoulder, keeping them pulled tight, and while leaning forward.

Then pull the straps down under your arms and around to your back and to your child.
Keep child high up on your back while you do this.

Cross the straps and bring around under your child's legs.
This is also a good time to straighten out the blanket a little.

Tie straps securely at your waist. (Or a little higher if that is comfortable.)

Alternatively, you can thread the strap in your right hand through the left shoulder strap, and visa versa
with the other strap and tie both ends together across your upper chest.
Stand upright and straighten the blanket.

Always remember your childs safety is your responsibility. Read the safety information and make sure you
understand the instructions before attempting to use any baby carrier.
